The Israeli Defense Force has created a robot snake capable of recording video and sound on the battlefield. The technologically advanced snake, which is about two meters long and covered in army camouflage, mimics the movement of a real snake.
The IDFs new robot spy has the appearance of a real snake and is able to slither through caves, tunnels, cracks, and buildings, sending images and sound back to a solider controlling the device through a laptop computer. The snake has a single camera attached to the front end that allows it to take pictures of its surrounding area and terrain.
