The $259.9 million jackpot prize for the Powerball lottery has been won and the winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were 43 – 14 – 31 – 51 – 24 with 27 as the Powerball number.
The likely winner of the highest Powerball prize in South Carolina history is from Columbia as the winning ticket was sold at the Murphy USA gas station fronting Wal-Mart on Garners Ferry Road near Interstate 77, according to news reports Thursday.
